The waxing gibbous Moon as observed from Earth

Following is a guest post by Myah P.

At first the sky was blank, only sat the moon. She was alone. In the morning she would run away from the sun. He was powerful and vain. Moon was shy and lonely.

One day a girl said, “Moon, aren’t you lonely up there?”

The Moon replied, “I am; I want somebody to talk to.”

So the girls set to work. It took a year. Then one night the girl returned. She had glittery silver stars and one flew up to the moon. The rest flew up, too. Soon the night became glittery. It looked as if tiny disco balls had been lost in space. The moon was now much happier.
